A lively exploration of the world of Victorian theatre with extracts from a fascinating diary of an unknown actress. The diary gives a unique insight into the boisterous 19th century theatrical world and the harsh reality of the life of a travelling actress.


Agatha Onstage
As well as her hugely successful career as a novelist Agatha Christie also had a long and successful relationship with the theatre. The Mousetrap, of course, is the longest running play in the world and this presentation tells the story of not only The Mousetrap but also the other 23 stage plays of the mistress of crime.


Larry & Viv – The story of Laurence Oliver and Vivien Leigh
This dramatised lecture tells the story of the love affair and marriage of Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh set against the glamorous world of 1930s and 40s film and theatre.
